HIGH QUALITY COMPETITION
Select Generation have entered teams in two leagues for the 2025/26 season- a team in the Southampton Saturday League (Men’s) and a team in the Hampshire U23 League (players are under 23 age). Players will be eligible to play for both teams. The season will go from August to May as a full 10 month campaign.
With our squad of up to 25 players we can maximize game time opportunity and rest players as needed, in what will be physically demanding leagues.
The Men’s team will compete against the teams listed on the right, playing two games (home and away) against each team. At the end of the season the top 2 teams will be promoted “up the pyramid” and the bottom teams will be relegated. The same process will apply to the u23 team in their league.
The pyramid system helps build character, with added motivation to win promotion and measure yourself against better players. At the higher levels of the pyramid many players will be semi-pro or professional. This is different to the US where players stick to a specific level like ECNL, MLS Next or NPL.
The league system in England is based on enabling merit-based promotionto a higher league, with relegation for the lowest teams.
OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO WIN PROMOTION EVERY YEAR!
